Then suddenly we were in the subtropical forest and getting close to Aguas Caliente. What a great ride. I picked the time of day for that reason. |

The return trip took place largely in the dark but after another delicious snack, the |
Peru Rail attendants entertained us. First with the fashion show, and sale, and then |
 |
 |
A popular Inca spirit came out to have fun with the guests, who loved it. |
It made a long ride home pass quickly. |
